The "support" for the genocidal war being waged by Israel is in fact only the support of bourgeois ruling cliques. The result is not the outcome of widespread racism and hostility to indigenous people. Instead it demonstrates the growing hostility of working people to the entire political establishment. "The Voice is not about helping indigenous people. Governments should be going out to these communities, listening to what they need, and providing it." Contrary to the media headlines calling the election a shift to the right, it was marked by low turnout that reflects growing hostility to Labour, the National Party and all the capitalist parties. Workers in New Zealand described the soaring cost of living and opposed the Labour and National Parties' support for Israel's bombardment of Gaza. Rather than to build support for the strike of 4,000 Mack Trucks workers, Fain's visit was to deploy the full force of the bureaucracy to smother the growing strike movement among auto workers. Lehman spoke with Jeep workers the same day UAW President Shawn Fain tried to put down the revolt of Mack workers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. The October 6 meeting between Nick Fuentes, Kyle Rittenhouse and Republican politicians and operatives was not an accident. By shifting the contract for wastewater data collection to Verily, a subsidiary of Alphabet (Google), the CDC is deliberately disrupting the main remaining source of usable data on the COVID pandemic. The letter from the "Creative Community for Peace" is a right-wing provocation, organized by mouthpieces for the Tel Aviv regime, which is in the midst of carrying out mass murder in Gaza. Just as in the US, unions in Brazil have suppressed the struggles of the working class, collaborating with companies and the capitalist state in increasing unemployment and slashing workers' living standards.
