False claims by the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal, about illnesses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology before the COVID-19 pandemic were refuted in an intelligence report published Friday. So far, the only clear move by the Kremlin has been the announcement of a law that will bring private military contractors under the control of the Ministry of Defense. The release of the ODNI findings only corroborates what principled scientists have stated before: that the WIV did not possess SARS-CoV-2 or a close ancestor and there is no evidence that the virus emerged from the laboratory to cause the COVID pandemic. US Secretary of State Blinken's trip to China, supposedly to ease tensions, has been swiftly followed by Biden's denunciation of Xi as "a dictator" and the fuelling of allegations of Chinese spying from Cuba. Six thousand workers struck at Spirit Aerosystems in Wichita, Kansas, after an overwhelming rejection of the sellout tentative contract recommended by the IAM. Kennedy Jr. has gained support from billionaire libertarians, anti-vaccine zealots and Trump co-conspirators for centering his presidential campaign on opposition to COVID mitigation measures, support for anti-immigrant border policies and zealous adherence to "free market capitalism." The fact that the judge chose to take up the monitor in such a blunt and public manner testifies to a high level of concern over the illegitimacy of the election. Less than two months after the United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) forced a concessionary contract on 35,000 educators and three months after a similarly rotten deal was reached with 30,000 school support staff represented by SEIU Local 99, the Los Angeles Unified School District is pressing ahead with even more cuts.
