The indictment gives a convincing account of an important part of Trump's conspiracy against democracy, but it is silent on the wider effort to overthrow American democracy and establish a presidential dictatorship. The interim PSOE-Podemos/Sumar government's military spending and commitment to the war in Ukraine proves that whatever government is cobbled together over the coming months, imperialist war abroad and class war at home will continue.
