Dear reader, Here are the latest articles published today on the World Socialist Web Site. The dollar has fallen 10 percent since the start of the year, a sign of the loss of confidence in its role as the global currency and a safe haven amid growing financial storms. The same day the Trump administration announced it had banned the punk rock group from entering the United States, it was reported that wanted war criminal Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be welcomed to Washington next Monday. At least 95 Palestinians were killed on Monday across the Gaza Strip, including more than 30 who were shelled from an Israeli naval vessel in a Gaza City seaside café. While appealing to the mass social anger that propelled his election victory, Mamdani claims that the issues that drove his support can be resolved through the Democratic Party. BPU members lash out after the WSWS exposes their censorship of socialist campaigners at a protest over the killing of Kumanjayi White. Lawyers for Palestine Action co-founder Huda Ammori appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice Monday morning, where their application for an urgent hearing was granted by Mr Justice Chamberlain. On Saturday, around 500 people demonstrated in Duisburg against the genocide in Gaza and the repression directed at those who express solidarity with the Palestinians. The mayor offered city municipal workers a total wage increase of 12 percent throughout the life of a three year contract. This offer would not even cover the inflation levels which have eroded wages over the last three years. The bureaucracy is stalling precisely because grocery workers are in a powerful position, not in spite of it. They do not want to do anything that threatens their cozy ties with management. The coalminers have been locked out without pay for almost three weeks, in retaliation for a single one-hour strike. More than 3,200 workers at the Tyson beef processing plant in Amarillo have voted to strike, while protests against cuts to education funding were carried out in university cities across Argentina.
