The Israeli military murdered and then bulldozed the bodies and ambulances of Palestinian and UN aid workers, who attempted to retrieve casualties after Israeli forces launched an offensive in the Tel al-Sultan district of the southern city of Rafah. The new measures would represent the most aggressive US siege against Venezuela's economy thus far, posing the threat of mass death and a renewed exodus. Premier Smith's ultimatum and the spectre it invokes of an "unprecedented national unity crisis" are an implicit threat that if the Alberta government's demands are not met the province could secede from Canada and appeal for Trump's support. The HWU bureaucracy is attempting to turn one section of its membership against the rest. This divisive action must be opposed! President Prabowo Subianto, a former general in the Suharto regime, is taking a step towards dictatorial rule, amid a massive social crisis and an international political shift to the right by the ruling class. The Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and the Communications Electrical and Plumbers Union sought to undermine the struggle from the outset. At food banks throughout the country, deliveries of millions of dollars' worth of food were abruptly stopped last week by the Trump administration as hunger across America grows. The so-called "antisemitism" resolution passed by the German parliament in the midst of the recent federal election campaign makes clear that the ruling class intends to continue its support for Israel's genocide in Gaza. Newsom's suspension of California's landmark environmental regulations to fast-track utility infrastructure rebuilding in wildfire-affected areas, is a direct attack on democracy, environmental safeguards and working-class communities. Cruz K-12 and Paz Elementary will close at the end of the year, while CTU works to prevent any opposition to the winding down of operations. Brazil Petrobras oil workers staged a nationwide strike March 28, while 5,000 workers and students marched in Chile on Sunday against regressive changes to pensions.
