Hello,
Millions took to the streets last weekend in historic demonstrations against Trump's efforts to establish a fascistic dictatorship. Protests took place in more than 1,600 US cities, from 100,000 in Washington D.C., tens of thousands in New York, to thousands more in cities and towns across America.
These demonstrations represent a powerful turning point. They exposed the lie promoted by the corporate media and political establishment that Trump cannot be opposed. Protesters denounced attacks on workers, immigrants, democratic rights, and the genocidal war in Gaza—policies supported by both the Republican and Democratic Parties.
The Socialist Equality Party and the International Youth and Students for Social Equality intervened powerfully, winning broad support for our call to unify the working class internationally against dictatorship, war, and capitalism.
But our urgent task now is to transform this spontaneous opposition into a politically conscious movement, armed with a socialist and internationalist program.
