Dear reader, Over the past three years, the WSWS has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic unlike any other publication in the world. We have provided the international working class with a scientific analysis and program to stop the pandemic, as well as political leadership to organize the fight to save lives. As we commemorate 25 years of the WSWS, we ask you to make a generous donation today in support of our unparalleled work on the pandemic. |
The WSWS and ICFI responded to the pandemic based on the antecedent history of our movement. In opposition to postmodernism, the Frankfurt School and all other anti-Marxist tendencies, we have maintained a scientific, Marxist approach towards all aspects of the social and natural world. In the decades leading up to the COVID-19 pandemic, the WSWS covered each outbreak of new pathogens, including SARS-CoV-1, H5N1 "bird flu," H1N1 "swine flu," MERS, Ebola and more, stressing the dangers of a global pandemic. When COVID-19 first emerged, we responded immediately and outlined a global public health strategy to stop the pandemic in its tracks. From the beginning, we have analyzed the capitalist social and economic forces which have determined the homicidal policies of world governments, exposing their prioritization of profits over lives.
A central aspect of the International Workers Alliance of Rank-and-File Committees (IWA-RFC), launched in May 2021, is to educate workers on a scientific strategy to eliminate COVID-19 globally. We have held numerous online meetings and published statements and videos to clarify this strategy.
In November 2021, the WSWS initiated our Global Workers' Inquest into the COVID-19 Pandemic. This investigation, which is indicting all those responsible for the deaths of over 20 million people, is entirely unique. It is the only independent investigation into the pandemic anywhere in the world.
To broaden the Global Workers' Inquest and the WSWS's ability to reach and educate workers on how to stop the pandemic and prepare for future pandemics, we need your support. Donate as much as you can today to help us expand this core component of our work. |
Fraternally, Evan Blake, Coordinator of the WSWS Global Workers' Inquest into the COVID-19 Pandemic |
