Israeli attacks on hospitals and dozens of residential buildings continued Thursday, underscoring just how tenuous the brief lull in the Israeli regime's genocidal onslaught on the Palestinians is. Protests have occurred in the face of an extraordinary police and state crackdown overseen by the Social Democrat-led federal government. It is not yet clear what pathogen or pathogens are responsible for the deluge of child hospitalizations, but the underlying cause of this crisis is undoubtedly the collapse of public health in China and internationally over the course of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The transparent purpose of Albanese and Dutton's presence at the Holocaust museum was to exploit the worst imperialist atrocity of the last century, to justify the worst imperialist atrocity of the 21st, the genocide in Gaza. The rank-and-file must now draw up their own red lines for the dispute and demand oversight of all further negotiations, rather than closed-door meetings of the company and Unite officials. Thursday's job action, which saw almost 600,000 workers on strike, was one of the largest in Quebec, or for that matter Canadian, history. In Alabama, two local hospitals—Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, and Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster—closed their programs for pregnancy and maternal care on October 25.
