Israel's genocide against the population of Gaza, carried out with the support of the imperialist powers, is the consummation of three decades of imperialist war following the dissolution of the USSR. The moves to ban the SJP and JVP mark a significant escalation of the state-led attempts to criminalize all opposition to the crimes of American imperialism and its Zionist proxy force in the Middle East. Stellantis workers are set to soon start voting, but as workers become more familiar with the details of the tentative contract anger is mounting. French imperialism's support for Israel's genocidal war on Gaza goes hand in hand with a campaign to legitimize fascistic and colonialist oppression at home. The firing of workers, blacklisting of students and other attempts at intimidation are part of a drive by all the imperialist powers to suppress global opposition to Israel's genocidal assault. The events in Israel have cracked open a divide between the union bureaucracies, aligned with the warmongering Biden administration, and rank-and-file writers, actors and directors opposed to the Israeli onslaught. Beyond control of the Senate, Manchin's move is aimed at either moving Biden's reelection campaign even further to the right—particularly on social cuts and regulation of coal and other fossil fuels—or aiding the Republican candidate by drawing Democratic voters away from Biden through a "bipartisan" third-party effort. The warmongering event aimed to further the US-led military offensive against China. Peaceful protesters were arrested and subjected to extraordinary penalties. This saga sheds further light on how far the political and judicial establishment has gone in blatantly violating even the most limited protections of legal rights contained in Australia's reactionary 1901 Constitution. Countless workers in Acapulco have been left to fend for themselves amidst a natural disaster compounded by systemic official neglect. This is not merely a "patriotic struggle" against a greedy and polluting Canadian firm, but part of a global resurgence of workers' struggles against the neo-colonial drive to secure control over strategic locations and resources. As capitalist governments seek to outlaw public displays of opposition to Israeli's genocide of the Palestinian people, thousands of people around the world continued to protest at weapons companies, universities, and in major cities. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Turkey on Monday amid Israel's ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and preparations for war against Iran. "The majority of Australians are pro-Palestine. ... It is the media and the politicians who push the idea that Israel can defend itself, even when they are killing innocent civilians, even when they are killing children. That's not self-defence, that's genocide." "Over 4,000 children, who have no idea of the conflict or anything about world politics, were brutally killed by the Israel military. How can the modern world bear such crimes?" New Jersey postal facility set to close as part of nationwide restructuring of the US Postal Service The situation at Kearny is part of the misnamed "Delivering for America" program, a vast restructuring effort which will close thousands of local post offices and shed tens of thousands of jobs. The right-wing, pro-business state Labor government is determined to heed the financial markets' demands for austerity spending cuts. The protests in South Korea have largely been buried by the political and media establishment for fear that support for the Palestinians will spread. While the film paints a vivid picture of the appalling suffering Barghouti's lengthy incarceration has inflicted upon both him and his family, it underplays the political issues involved.
