In a social media post Sunday and a speech to Republican House members Monday, the US president said he would not sign any legislation into law until Congress passes the "Save America Act." Despite his insults, Milei's speech also laid bare the sordid division of labor between Peronism, the Peronist-led union bureaucracy and the pseudo-leftist FIT-U in suppressing the class struggle and enforcing his attacks against the working class. Trump's "Shield of the Americas" summit prepares escalation of imperialist violence in Latin America Trump's address to his Latin American stooges opened with a boastful report about the barbaric destruction of Iran. When the trading day began in the US the price of oil had surged from around $90 a barrel to as high as $119 and was set to go even higher as stocks were falling following significant further selloffs in Asia. Labor is openly joining a war of annihilation against an oppressed nation. The nationalist calls by the Labour Party, the Greens as well as sections of academia and the media for a more "independent" foreign policy are a smokescreen and fraud. The political establishment insists there is "no money" for bus drivers, aides, counselors and teachers. Yet there is unlimited money to wage illegal war with Iran. Hollywood consolidation advances the fusion of corporate media, artificial intelligence systems and the American military-intelligence apparatus. Workers in Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and internationally need to be warned: The US and Israel may resort to any kind of provocation to directly involve regional states in the war against Iran. The 6,000 workers at DHL in the US, members of the Teamsters, are demanding improvements in pay, benefits and working conditions. Socialist Equality Party members spoke with workers and young people in Adelaide about the state government's attacks on living standards and the country's complicity in the criminal US-led war against Iran.
