Dear reader, Here are the latest articles published today on the World Socialist Web Site. On Thursday, June 13, the following letter from the Socialist Equality Party and the International Editorial Board of the World Socialist Web Site will be delivered to Oksana Markarova, the Ambassador of Ukraine, in Washington, D.C. The latest UAW monitor report marks a dramatic escalation of the growing crisis gripping the UAW bureaucracy, further eroding the pretensions of Fain's administration to be carrying out "reforms," rooting out corruption and winning major improvements for workers. Video reports show police violently snatching peaceful protesters and deploying "less lethal" rounds. At least 25 anti-genocide demonstrators were arrested. On the eve of the European elections, protesters also criticized French President Emmanuel Macron, his promotion of far-right forces, and his military escalation targeting Russia. Party leader Sir Keir Starmer and his shadow chancellor, Rachel Reeves, have insisted over the last four years that Labour will be the most pro-business government in history, which means it will be dedicated to attacking the working class and slashing public spending. Anne, from a large mail centre in west London, told Sunday's Zoom meeting: "Starmer's Labour and the CWU are both behind Kretinsky. The CWU are not working for the members." The unions are intent on suppressing massive opposition within the working class to Nigeria's atrocious living conditions, intensified by the ruling class's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the soaring of prices due to the US-NATO war against Russia in the Ukraine and the government's disastrous austerity policies. The younger Biden was found guilty of lying on a gun application and to a federally licensed gun dealer about his drug use and illegally possessing a gun while addicted to drugs in October of 2018. Hosier, 69, was put to death Tuesday evening by the state of Missouri despite no physical evidence linking him to the murders of a Jefferson City couple. Hosier long maintained his innocence. The anniversary was overshadowed by a US offensive on multiple fronts— diplomatic, economic and military—against China, Brazil's leading trade partner. Mexico's incoming President can be expected, if anything, to increase subordination to US imperialism and its predatory interests. The ruling spelled the beginning of the end of legal segregation based on race—but in the decades since the American ruling class has gutted public education. "The working class must rally to defend Bogdan Syrotiuk and all those who resist imperialist wars and capitalist oppression" This ruling sets a dangerous precedent in the context of the denunciations by the media and political establishment of anti-genocide protests. The decision has far-reaching implications for attempts to regulate the burgeoning private credit market, which the International Monetary Fund has said poses a major potential risk to the financial system. Workers still have not received any information regarding either the deals that have already been made, or the terms and proposals that the unions have put forward. While the tentative contract is being hailed by the UAW and management it in fact is an abject betrayal.
