WSWS reporters spoke to some of those attending Saturday's protest in London against Israel's genocidal onslaught on Gaza. There is a bipartisan campaign to falsely equate opposition to Israeli genocide in Gaza with antisemitism. UC Irvine is targeting students and their organizations who oppose the Genocide in Gaza persued by Israel, threatning their academic and professional future with serious accusations of student misconduct. Amid the wave of attacks by university administrations on students opposing the US/Israeli genocide against Palestinians, a New York University freshman has been suspended and her scholarship rescinded in retaliation for her removal of pro-Israel posters on campus. Palaszczuk's tearful departure underlines a developing crisis of the political establishment as a whole nationally, and not just the Labor Party. The Greens are trying to subordinate opposition to the barbarism to moral appeals to the Labor government that is fully committed to the mass slaughter. Faced with a resurgence of class struggle, sections of the ruling class are seeking to revive the political party that has historically been used to divert and derail the militant struggles of Quebec workers with the crucial assistance of its allies in the trade union bureaucracy. Seoul's participation in the US-led war against Russia in Ukraine has taken part almost entirely behind the backs of the population. The United Steelworkers is attempting to betray the months-long strike of 1,700 nurses by imposing a contract that will not ensure safe staffing or meet the workers' most basic economic needs. "My grandparents are Holocaust survivors and I'm here because I feel it is really important that anti-Zionism and antisemitism aren't conflated." The security pact effectively commits the former Australian colony to the escalating US-led confrontation with China, and is viewed as a model for similar deals with other countries across Pacific. At the demonstration in the Detroit suburb, over 200 youth and workers, including many families with children, marched to express their disgust at the complicity of US imperialism and the Democratic Party over the genocide in Gaza. The second nationwide warning strike by train drivers belonging to the GDL union brought long-distance, regional and suburban rail services to an almost complete standstill on Friday. In recent weeks, numerous artists and cultural workers in Germany and other countries have been slandered as antisemites and deprived of opportunities to work.
