However, understanding breakdowns in staff–pupil relationships requires placing them in context. Baumbach satirizes the failings of the contemporary movie industry and mocks the self-involvement of prominent performers. The EPA moves to gut the evaluation of the cost of health impacts in regulating toxic industrial emissions. Workers at University Hospital Essen participated in a warning strike to protest low wages and intolerable working conditions.
