The protests were supported by demonstrations at more than 100 Greek embassies and consulates internationally, across all six inhabited continents. The film's success is undoubtedly linked to a growing recognition that resolving the country's acute political crisis is impossible without a serious reckoning with its history. The frantic preparations for Carnival, driven by lucrative private investments, underly the dangerous working conditions at the factory.
