The US House of Representatives has never before censured a member for voicing his or her political opinions. Just hours after the provocative G7 statement, US aircraft struck a site in eastern Syria allegedly used by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, with officials noting that the action was "directed" by Biden. The air strike underscores the impending danger of the imperialist-backed genocide of the Palestinians erupting into a region-wide conflagration. Rather than rejecting out-of-hand the provocative offer, the UAW intends to bring the contract for another vote, tentatively scheduled for November 15. The defeat of the contract at two key Michigan propulsion plants is a powerful blow to the UAW bureaucracy and the Biden administration. The video posted Sunday calls for the working class to intervene and stop Israel's murderous assault on Palestinians in Gaza. The fight must now be taken onto the industrial front by the international working class, the most powerful force in the world, able to paralyse the economy and bring down warmongering governments. At its meeting on Tuesday, the Rail Action Committee adopted a resolution in support of the call by Palestinian trade unions to stop transporting weapons to Israel. The union announced an agreement Wednesday after two weeks of behind-closed-doors negotiations with the AMPTP. The talks have been going on, as the following interview makes clear, behind the backs of the SAG-AFTRA membership, who have been left entirely in the dark. In Ohio, a referendum forced by a petition drive placed the right to abortion in the state constitution. "We urge the employees of every workplace to form their own independent organisations without relying on the trade union bureaucracy."
