The Republican presidential frontrunner declared, "The real threat is from the radical left, and it's growing every day, every single day." For the third day in a row, Gaza's health ministry did not release an updated death toll of the bombardment of Gaza, as Israel continued to attack healthcare workers and refugee camps. Dozens of Israeli Jewish and Arab peace and human rights groups have issued an open letter calling on the government to work for a ceasefire, the release of the hostages and a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict. The far-right campaign against students has created a chilling atmosphere in which students are faced with threats to their physical safety as well as their future careers. The artists have a responsibility here, to stand up for the oppressed and the victimized, against imperialist barbarism. The list of musicians, actors and others opposing Israel's campaign of death is too extensive to include in one article. Unable to maintain the faintest trace of democratic legitimacy, it is turning rapidly to repression and dictatorship. The demand Germany be "war-ready" and the associated aim of the comprehensive militarisation of society not only links back rhetorically but also substantively to the policies of the Nazis. Colombian miners have demanded a halt to shipments of fuel and minerals to Israel while 400 New Jersey electric workers in the US have joined a growing strike wave. The Israeli government could not carry out its brutal genocide against the Palestinians without the support of the German government, and the German government could not maintain this support without the close cooperation of the Deutsche Gewerkschaftsbund (DGB, German Trade Union Confederation. In return for a token "climate refugee" intake, Australia asserts a veto over any other country, particularly China, making agreements with the island state. The 900 auto parts workers, who had been on strike since last Wednesday were summarily ordered back to work for Monday and Tuesday without receiving any details of the proposed deal nor given any immediate information on the date for a contract ratification vote.
