Six months after his arrest, Bogdan Syrotiuk, the courageous Ukrainian socialist arrested for opposing the war, remains in prison awaiting a drumhead trial in a legal travesty. In a major escalation of the imperialist military offensive throughout the Middle East, Israel launched three waves of airstrikes on Iran Saturday morning in coordination with the Biden Administration. Stein has made this statement calling for the release of socialist and anti-war activist Bogdan Syrotiuk, who has been imprisoned by the Zelensky regime in Ukraine. "You need organizations which you control, to transfer power from corrupt officials in bed with management to the 33,000 IAM members at Boeing, as well as the company's global workforce." As Trump and his Republican co-conspirators continued openly to plot to overturn the vote should the fascist ex-president lose the election, Harris and Obama issued no warning and made no appeal for popular resistance. On Monday, nearly 400 Eaton workers at the Troy and Highland, Illinois, facilities went on strike and joined a global strike wave of their coworkers in the United States and in Britain. The incident took place as workers were voting on a sellout contract that was ultimately rejected, marking the third time strikers have voted down an agreement pushed by the UAW leadership. The strike action on London Underground pits one of the most powerful sections of transport workers in the first major showdown with Sir Keir Starmer's right-wing pro-business Labour government. Eighty six percent of union members voted overwhelmingly to authorize strike action against Michigan Medicine to win their demands for wage and benefits increases and an end to understaffing at the University of Michigan hospital system. The CFMEU bureaucracy and its defenders are hostile to the fight to mobilise construction workers against putting the union into administration, which is a historic attack on their democratic rights aimed at slashing pay and conditions. Inter-University Student Federation convener Madhushan Chandrajith told the media that the new government refused to take any action to alleviate the plight facing students. Police in the Portuguese capital have clashed with protesters every night since Monday's fatal shooting of Odair Moniz. The campaign to suppress opposition to Israel's war of extermination embraces all of Germany's political parties. Construction workers in Thailand protest unpaid wages; India: Punjab road transport workers demand permanent jobs and equal pay; Australia: Qantas maintenance engineers strike for pay rise; New South Wales public hospital mental health doctors threaten to resign during pay dispute. The CDC now recommends offering the pneumonia vaccine to people 50 years of age or older, and more frequent COVID vaccines for people 65 years or older and those who are immune compromised. Evidence of Kaba's involvement in criminal activity in the days leading to his death should have led to his arrest and trial, not his murder when he posed no serious threat to anyone and had not even been identified.
