Just weeks after attacking Venezuela and kidnapping its president, US President Donald Trump is threatening to launch a major new war against Iran. The deal provides a 2-week extension of funding for the Department of Homeland Security while locking in full funding for the Pentagon and the national security state as the Trump administration prepares for war with Iran. Agents carted off hundreds of boxes containing ballots, tabulation tapes and other election records, based on a judicial warrant characterizing these documents as potential evidence of a crime. Striking healthcare workers are responding to Alex Pretti's murder by supporting calls for a national general strike. On the one hand, the strike has won immense public support, but on the other, NYSNA is preparing a sellout on management's terms.
