US President Donald Trump asserted unlimited presidential powers to wage war all over the world in an interview with the New York Times published Thursday, declaring, "I don't need international law." US forces kidnapped Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife after blockading and terrorizing the working class in the region. Many workers who spoke to WSWS reporters drew the connection between the US attack on Venezuela and escalating state violence against resistance at home. A ten-fold increase in arrests in Oregon took place last year, alongside targeted workplace raids in Washington that terrorized working class communities.
