![]() Dear reader, Here are the latest articles published today on the World Socialist Web Site. The International Workers Alliance of Rank-and-File Committees calls for a mass movement to be built, uniting workers across the entire industry across the planet and drawing in workers in logistics and other sectors, to force a halt and reversal to the job cuts. The United States military carried out a new round of illegal attacks on Yemen Tuesday, the third set of bombings in just under a week.. Around 1,000 workers, school pupils and university students demonstrated in Berlin-Neukölln Monday against Israel's genocide in the Gaza Strip. Various pro-Palestinian groups, the Berlin Student Coalition, as well as SGP and its youth organisation IYSSE had called for the strike and rally. While only a sliver of the eligible electorate participated in the caucuses, Trump dominated the field, solidifying his grip on the Republican presidential nomination. The job cuts have provoked a firestorm of opposition from workers, who have denounced Fain and other UAW officials for lying to them. As strike action is called, workers must take matters into their own hands to prevent the pro-corporate unions from imposing yet another sellout agreement. The SEP and its sister parties of the ICFI have launched a campaign in defence of Fernando and Wasantha, and the SEP's democratic right to conduct political campaigns. US President Biden, following Trump, has deliberately heightened tensions with China over Taiwan by all but tearing up the One China policy that has formed the basis of US-China relations since 1979. The plot against journalist Antoinette Lattouf sheds much light on the phony campaigns and witch-hunts of the past three months, targeting mass opposition to the Gaza genocide. Opposition develops to the New Zealand ruling elite joining an expanding war in the Middle East by backing the bombing of Yemen. The strong response by health workers makes clear that they will not be intimidated by Zionist bullying and are fighting back, determined to reveal the truth about Gaza. The sustained effort to avoid any reference to traumatic events, such as the ongoing genocide in Gaza, degrades and demeans the artists and their efforts. While both parties find and justify seemingly unlimited funds for war, social services for the working class fall significantly short. Far from representing "democracy," Arévalo and Semilla are direct, bought-and-paid-for puppets of US imperialism. "The CWU did not take up the cause of the sub-postmasters. The little said to us by the CWU was they had their own representation, the Federation. This was a sectional and divisive approach."
