Coming only a day after Trump called for the execution of Democratic Party legislators, Mamdani's voyage to the White House served to bolster the political legitimacy of the crisis-ridden Trump regime. In response to a video put out by former CIA and military Democrats urging agents and soldiers to follow "lawful orders," Trump and members of his administration called for their trial and execution. Officials have become entangled in the campaign to justify war against Russia and a new imperialist slaughter. The call by the International Workers Alliance of Rank-and-File Committees for a rank-and-file investigation into the on-the-job deaths of USPS workers Nick Acker and Russell Scruggs Jr. has been endorsed by members and supporters of the Postal Workers Rank-and-File Committee at Royal Mail in the UK. This is the human cost of "modernization" at the United States Postal Service, where jobs are being slashed through automation and the postal infrastructure handed over to private corporations. The only state or territory to temporarily shut all affected schools has been the Australian Capital Territory, centred on Canberra. At the direction of Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has embraced the unfounded claims of right-wing anti-vaxxers that childhood vaccines may be linked to autism. And with that the Inquiry report—despite its damning conclusions, which point the finger at politicians responsible for social murder on a vast scale—will be placed in the House of Commons Library to collect dust. This is part of a wider jobs massacre, with US employers announcing 1.1 million jobs this year alone. Trump's Department of Agriculture is attempting to fire a worker in retaliation for speaking publicly on the impacts of the shutdown. Thomas Alter's dismissal sets a precedent for the systematic dismantling of democratic rights on the campuses and the initiation of a purge at universities of all those who do not subscribe to the fascist ideology running rampant through the Republican Party. The confrontation between the people and the state in Ukraine is developing dynamically. The role of the NDP and Greens in securing the budget's passage confirms their function as props of a right-wing big business government committed to restructuring class relations in the interests of Canadian capitalism at a time of accelerating social and economic crisis. Around 22,000 public sector workers are on strike in Uttarakhand, India, demanding permanent jobs, while more than 23,000 Sri Lankan doctors are protesting budget cuts.
