Israel prepares region-wide escalation of war across Middle East with American imperialism's support The far-right Israeli regime has long been searching for a pretext to escalate the war in Gaza to its northern front. And it enjoys the full support of American imperialism for this reckless course, which threatens to plunge the entire region into a bloodbath. The capitalist two-party system offers working people only the alternatives of imperialist war and fascist dictatorship. Protesting Michigan Medicine workers were joined by the Socialist Equality Party's candidate for US vice president during an informational picket in Ann Arbor on Monday morning. That an unknown stand-in for Maria Corina Machado, an extreme right-wing creature of the CIA and proponent for US sanctions, could plausibly have defeated Maduro is an indictment of the entire Bolivarian project and the pink-tide regionally. Portuguese Left Bloc appeals to big-business PS to form alliance based on France's New Popular Front The Pabloite Left Bloc (BE) is appealing for alliances to the PS, even as the PS backs Portugal's recently-installed right-wing government. The convention was devoted to campaigning for Kamala Harris while covering up the genocide in Gaza. Zola was an eloquent opponent of obscurantism and reaction, and played a major role in the exoneration of Alfred Dreyfus and the struggle against antisemitism. The dangerous escalation between the Israeli and Turkish bourgeoisies, two reactionary allies of US-NATO imperialism, is a warning of the acute danger of a Middle East war The Sozialistische Gleichheitspartei (Socialist Equality Party, SGP) condemns these attacks on religious freedom in the strongest possible terms. The political bankruptcy of the official "left" in Britain was on display at a counter-demonstration of around 3,000 people called by Stand Up to Racism led by the Socialist Workers Party and whose featured speaker was Jeremy Corbyn. Official numbers must be considered a severe undercount. Supporting this, high street healthcare retailer Superdrug reported a 319 percent spike in sales of its COVID lateral flow tests, alongside a 297 percent increase in cold and flu relief sachets, suggesting a surge of illness across Britain.
