In 2025, more workers will come into struggle, including workers on the docks, the railroads, in the defense industry, in health care and in public and higher education.
Trump and his government of oligarchs plan to deport immigrant workers, slash Social Security, Medicare and other vital programs and decimate public education to provide more tax cuts for the rich and fund more wars to grab resources and annex territory. This will provoke mass opposition from workers, including from those who voted for Trump.
As the WSWS noted in its New Year's statement: "If there are any definitive lessons to be learned from modern history, it is that the levels of wealth inequality that now exist in the US and globally always produce social explosions. But history also demonstrates that these struggles cannot succeed without a clear program, organization and leadership."
Substantial resources are required to build the IWA-RFC and the leadership needed for this struggle. The WSWS does not and never will take money from corporations or the union apparatus. We rely entirely on you, the readers of the WSWS and our workplace newsletters, for the resources we need. Donate today at wsws.org/donate, and consider setting up a monthly recurring donation to sustain our work.
