The Biden administration will do nothing to oppose the right-wing rampage in the courts and state governments. The walkout at Rutgers coincides with the ongoing strike of 1,300 graduate students at the University of Michigan and strike at three Chicago-area colleges. While rank-and-file graduate students have shown important courage in defying aggressive threats by the University, they face urgent political challenges—above all, from their own union leadership.
