Over the weekend, Israel launched a military offensive against Gaza whose aim is the total conquest and occupation of the Gaza Strip, the forced internal displacement of the remaining population into concentration camps in the south, and preparations for their expulsion from Palestine altogether.
The campaign, described by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as the "concluding moves," is nothing less than a modern-day "Final Solution" to the Palestinian question.
This monumental crime is being carried out with the support of every imperialist government, spearheaded by the Trump administration in the United States and with the complicity of the bourgeois Arab regimes of the Middle East. It is an act of genocide in full view of the world—openly normalized, applauded, and facilitated by US imperialism and its allies.
The Gaza genocide is being enabled by major media publications, which have dropped coverage of the ongoing starvation and mass murder from their front pages. The Washington Post has praised Trump's trip to the Middle East—aimed at coordinating the genocide—as a diplomatic success. At every turn, they seek to cover up the genocidal aims of Israel's onslaught on Gaza.
Every single day, the WSWS fights to expose the crimes occurring in Gaza and hold those responsible to account., Those responsible include both those who are directing the killing, like Trump, or the silent enablers of the US-Israeli massacre, like Bernie Sanders, who claims that no genocide is happening in Gaza and that Israel has the "right" to define itself.
