The heads of the NATO countries, dripping in blood from the genocide in Gaza, are discussing plans for an intensification of the war against Russia. In just under two weeks, on July 24, another gathering will be held in Washington—the protest and meeting organized by the World Socialist Web Site and the Socialist Equality Party to oppose the Gaza genocide and imperialist war. The rally will take place on the same date as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress. The July 24 rally and meeting organized by the WSWS will be a forum to discuss the political strategy necessary to fight back. All of the governments at the summit are in deep crisis, despised by the vast majority of the population. But as the WSWS Perspective today notes, "Amidst the various maneuvers and changes in personnel, the leaders of the imperialist countries are demonstrating that the war policies of the ruling class are completely impervious to popular opinion." This is why the fight against genocide and war requires the mobilization of the working class against the entire political establishment and the capitalist system it defends.  The call for the rally is getting a powerful response from workers and young people in the US and throughout the world.
