The Zelensky regime is refusing to disclose how long Ukrainian soldiers will be expected to remain at the front amid growing nationwide protests against never-ending deployment. After an almost unanimous strike authorization vote by Las Vegas-area hotel workers last month, the Culinary Union has refused to set a strike date. Detroit-based Henry Ford Health has announced a plan for a "joint venture" with Ascension Michigan, a division of St. Louis, Missouri-based Ascension Health, that would bring eight Ascension hospitals in southeast Michigan under the leadership of Henry Ford. The ruling class is intent on the brutal repression of a mass movement they have long feared, amid a resurgence of the class struggle now exacerbated by the impacts of the pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis and the outbreak of war in Ukraine and now in the Middle East.
